Stephanie made her way through the arena the next night, determined to forget about Paul's recent behavior. She was at a Smackdown taping and she had a job to do. Paul was in another town, doing a Raw brand show. A grimace crossed Stephanie's face. He would be with 'her' tonight. His other woman.

Stephanie entered her office and sat at her desk, trying to keep the image of 'her' with Paul. But it seemed burned into her mind. Her lips blazing a trail across his body. His hands running through her raven hair.

WIth a growl of pure frustration, Stephanie fell back into her chair. She had to talk to him...to see him. They hadn't spoken after their confrontation the night before. After her talk with Victoria, Stephanie had taken his car to the airport. He'd send someone to pick it up in the morning, he'd told her.

Stephanie reached out to grab her purse, digging through it like a crazy woman. Finally her fingers wrapped around what she was looking for and she withdrew her hand from the purse. A tube of lipstick. A nice color. It really would be a nice shade on herself. Only it wasn't hers. It was a cheap off brand...Stephanie only bought brand name.

It had only been after her discovery of the lipstick in his car that a few other things clicked, confirming what she already knew and had accused him of earlier that night. The mark on his neck wasn't from shaving, but from where 'her' lips had bruised his skin.

***
You said you were out with a friend
Well your friend left her lipstick in your car again
That mark on your neck didn't get there from shaving
I got a feeling you've been misbehaving.
***

Tears were prickling the back of her eyelids now. But she refused to cr. She was Stephanie McMahon. McMahon's don't cry. Princess' don't cry.

Stephanie grabbed her cell phone and punched in Paul's cell phone number. She let it ring a few times, but only heard his voice mail pick up. After hesitating a second she left a message saying:

***
So give me one good reason why I should stay
Just one good reason not to walk away
Must be open season on cheating man-a-tease
And why do you do me this way
Just give me one good reason to stay
And I'll stay
***

After she hung up, she desperately pushed the thoughts from her head. She turned her cell phone off and left it off for the entire show that night. She had business to do, and like hell was anyone going to keep her from doing it.

When she finally made it back to her hotel room, she turned her cell back on. One new voice message, the monitor on her phone said. She dialed her voice mail box and heard Paul speaking softly on the other end.

"Steph, can't talk long...got a long drive. You wanted one good reason? I love you. I honestly love you. You are my one true love. Uh...I gotta go." And the phone clicked as he hung up.

But Stephanie had heard all she needed to hear. Before he had said he needed to go...a woman's voice had asked him what he was doing. Who he was talking to. A voice belonging to 'her'. TO the one that everyone compared to Paul's old flame. "The Chyna wannabe" is what the internet had nicknamed her.

Victoria.

When Paul checked his messages the next day, he found a message from Stephanie. Her voice sounded strong as she said:

***
You tell me your love is true
Well, is that what you tell the other girls too
You can't tell the truth babe
You're not even trying
I got a feeling your just alibing.
***

Paul softly clicked his phone off.

***
So give me one good reason why I should stay
Just one good reason not to walk away
Must be open season on cheating man-a-tease
And why do you do me this way
Just give me one good reason to stay
And I'll stay.
