The crowd was still roaring as he made his way back to his private locker room.
Dating the bosses daughter did have its perks. He pushed open the door of the
lounge area, expecting Stephanie McMahon to be waiting for him with a huge smile
on her face. But he found her hunched over, sitting on one of the couches, a
cell phone clutched tightly in her hand. She didn't look up at him when he
entered. Just kept staring at the phone as if she was afraid it would disappear
if she blinked.
"Hey Steph....who called? Your mom? Did you guys have another fight?" Paul
gently asked. Stephanie still didn't look up. "It's not my phone." She said
quietly.
"OKay.....then why the iron man grip on it?" he asked, genuinely confused. "It's
your phone....and she's still on the line...wanting to talk to you." Stephanie
said, standing up and finally looking at him.
Paul just looked from the phone to her and then back to the phone again. "Would
you like me to leave so you can talk to her?" Stephanie asked, exaggerating her
facial features.
"I...uh..." Paul stammered. "Don't look so suprised. I know about her. I have
known for awhile. But I guess I was afraid to bring it up.....but now it's time
for us to stop playing the game." Stephanie said, using her fingers to put
quotations around the words, 'playing the game'.

It's your call, it's her
Would you rather take it in the other room.
She's hanging on, and so am I
Yeah, I know all about it, don't act so suprised.
It's time to end this game your playing
She's not the only one waiting on the line.

"You need to figure out what you want. Her or me. I can't stand this not knowing
if I even matter to you anymore. Or if I'm just some prize. Some boast you get
to tell the other guys. 'Yeah, I'm banging the bosses daughter.'" Stephanie told
him, trying hard not to cry. Finally she held the phone out to him.

It's your call, it's up to you
And I won't try to stop you if you want to go
But if you stay, tell her goodbye
I can't take another minute, I can't stand another night.
Of wondering if I still matter
It's something only you can answer
Here's the phone, it's your call

"I wasn't expecting a call...maybe its just some fan who managed to get the
number." Paul managed weakly. "There's no easy way out of it this
time...Hunter." Stephanie emphasized the last word.
Paul knew he was in serious trouble then. Stephanie never called him Hunter away
from the camera's. She said Triple H, Hunter, was a malicious, evil, cunning,
spiteful man with no morals or heart.
"She called here to talk to you. I can't take a message...it's your call. What
do you want to do?" Stephanie asked, pushing the phone out further.
His eyes watched the phone, knowing if he took it, then it'd be over between him
and Stephanie. It was his call.

There's no easy way out this time
'Cause I won't live this way
She called here to talk to you
With a message I can't take.
Oh, I've got to know if I still matter.
It's something only you can answer.
here's the phone, it's your call
