Summary: Will it be a good New Year?
Notes: Here's your ditty, Jami!
~~**~~
Jami walked into her empty living room, sighing as she collapsed onto her
sofa. God, she missed Jeff. She missed the way he would strut around the
house in nothing but his metallic thong with red stars on it. She missed the
way he would try and make Campbell's soup in the microwave, still in the can.
But, now she saw him at the most one day a week since she stopped traveling
with him. He missed Christmas, and now she was going to have to spend New
Years Eve alone. Sure, he phoned her every day, but it really wasn't the
same.
Grabbing for the remote, Jami turned on the TV, flipping through the channels
until she came to an old re-run of Friends. Taking a sip of her 7-up, Jami
settled in for the long haul, hoping she'd fall asleep before the ball
dropped.
As the ending credits rolled on the third Friends she had watched, there was
a knock on the door. Grumbling, Jami stumbled to the front door, swinging it
open.
"Sign for it." The courier, who looked strangely like Shane McMahon with a
Santa Claus beard on, handed her a clipboard and pen.
"Shane?"
"No ma'am, the names Ralph." He tipped his hat as he handed him back the
papers, signed. He pushed a rather large box into the house, "Enjoy!"
'Ralph' disappeared out of sight and Jami looked at the box.
"What the hell?" She ripped the tape off, jumping back when Jeff popped out,
in nothing but his metallic thong with the red stars on it and some body
glitter, a bottle of champagne in hand.
"Happy New Year, Jami!" Jeff shouted, blowing on his party favor and throwing
around confetti.
Jeff climbed out of the box, his arms extended for a hug. He was knocked onto
the floor and found himself underneath Jami, "Happy New Year, indeed."
