Title: This One's for the Girls
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter: 1 of 1
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I
did, I'd be busy with them right now *grin*.  The song belongs to Martina
McBride and I wouldn't even try to claim it. And the address to the stories
is at the bottom of this email. And don't bother suing me...all you'd get is
a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's not to bad...sexual situations are involved, but
nothing graphic.
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad
either....maybe some cussing and implied sexual relations
Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't
know yet *L*.
Summary: Takes a look at Ivory. Not implying this is how she feels.
Feedback: I need feedback like I need air! So give it to me, babee! I have
been suffocating lately....so please, send in the feedback.

Lisa was known to the wrestling world as the Diva Ivory. Few ever took the
time to know her as Lisa, and over the last few years, she had taken on the
persona that was Ivory. She was fun to be around, but cold as ice when the
situation called for it.

High School had been hell for her. Why wouldn't it have been? She didn't
look or act like all the other girls. She was to busy trying to make herself
stand out, and in the end she became just another face in the crowd.

She had done stupid and foolish things as a young girl. Things that at
times, she was even afraid to admit to. She had experimented, not with
drugs, but with sex. She was surprised she hadn't ended up a mother at the
age of 14.

She watched Terri's young daughter Dakota as she made her rounds among the
wrestlers. She knew the young woman was in for a fight. With all this
sexuality laced into her background, how could she remain innocent forever?
She wished that everyone could only learn from her mistakes.

This is for all you girls about 13
High school can be so rough

Hold onto, onto your innocence
Stand your ground when everybody's givin in

This one's for the girls!

Lisa watched another group of Diva's that were clustered together. These
girls had it made, but it hadn't always been that way for some of them. Her
eyes caught the bright red hair of Amy Dumas and she smiled. Amy reminded
her of herself. She had struggled, living on nothing but a can of
spaghettios, just to make it where she was today. She had sold everything
she had, traveled to places where she knew no one, and didn't know the
language. All to prove herself worthy.

Lisa continued watching the group, and her eyes caught onto Torrie Wilson
this time. Torrie was one of the more beautiful diva's in the WWE, but even
after everything, Torrie didn't believe it. She constantly sought
reassurance from the other diva's, wrestlers and fans. A past clouded with
an eating disorder and permantely scar'd the young woman.

Lisa paused a moment to wonder how many of their fans strived to keep up
with the image the Diva's projected. How many girls crowded into plastic
surgeons offices, wanting to look like Stacy or Trish. How many of them knew
that some of the beauty these diva's possessed wasn't perfection. Some of it
was a good makeup artist, and some of it was inner beauty that showed
through.

This is for all you girls about 25
In little apartments just tryin to get by
Livin on, on dreams and spaghettios
Wondering where your life is gonna go

This one's for the girls
Who've ever had a broken heart
Who've wished upon a shooting star
You're beautiful the way you are
This one's for the girls
Who love without holding back
Who dream with everything they have
All around the world
This one's for the girls

Lisa sighed as she walked up to the mirror to study her own reflection. How
many times in the past had she wished that this little line would disappear,
or colored her hair to hide the 3 gray hairs she had found that morning.

She sometimes wondered if that fans weren't tired of her by now. The only
Diva that had been in the company longer than her was Terri. And now look at
the gaggle of young women to have come and gone since then. The likes of
Sunny, Chyna, and Sable had come and gone. True, Sable was back, but not in
the same type of role Lisa was in.

Maybe she really was to old to be stuffing herself into a plastic top and
pants with holes cut out to show the crevice of her behind. Maybe she was to
old to be going out there and taking on 25 year old women who were in the
prime of their lives.

"Hey Lisa, hurry up! We need you to get out there and show us what we should
do tonight!" Trish giggled as Lisa started from her deep trance in front of
the mirror. "I think you girls can handle it." Lisa admitted.

"What are you talking about? We need your help! You are one of the greatest
at the ring psychology. If it weren't for your help we'd probably be out
there trying our best to make the 'owie' faces." Trish laughed.

Lisa smiled to herself. She was needed, or at least she felt she was. With a
wink to herself in the mirror, she thought, "This one's for all the girls
out there who dream with everything they have." Yes, this is for them. To
prove that it can be done.
