Title: Not So Angelic
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter: 31
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I
did, I'd be busy with them right now *grin*. But I do own Jami, for she is me.
Tasha owns herself. (Heaven help the person who tries to claim he/she owns
either of us). And I use the wrestlers
wrestling names in the story, JUST DEAL WIT IT! And don't bother suing me...all
you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad
either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know
yet *L*.

Jaylynn quietly walked through the penthouse entry room, hoping that she'd be
able to just sink into bed and forget this nightmare that seemed bent on
consuming her. Shane McMahon sat on the couch, shirtless, in a pair of
sweatpants, drinking a bottle of beer. The TV screen flicked an old western.
Jaylynn sat next to Shane, taking the beer bottle from his hand and looking at
him curiously. "I didn't think you drank beer." Jaylynn puzzled. "There's a few
things you don't quite know about me yet." Shane commented, not looking at her.
Jaylynn shrugged and slouched down in the couch, sighing heavily. When Shane
still didn't look at her, she left the room and changed into a pair of jersy
shorts and a white tank top. As she was rummaging through her bag, she noticed
that the email Stephanie had signed was crumpled into a ball at the bottom of
the bag. Shrugging, she smoothed it out and refolded it. 'I must have been in a
hurry' she thought to herself.
Jaylynn came back into the room with Shane and flung herself back down on the
couch, hoping the jostle woudl bring Shane to at least look at her. Instead he
stood up and walked into the kitchen. A few minutes later he returned with a
cold bottle of beer in his hand. He sat back on the couch, still not even
glancing at her.
Frustrated, Jaylynn moved to stand in front of Shane, but again, he just advertd
his eyes. Jaylynn eased herself onto his lap, facing him, figuring he wouldn't
be able to ignore her then.
"Can I help you?" he asked. Jaylynn just placed light kisses along his throat
and mumbled, "mhmmmmm." "you're not playing fiar." Shane whined.
Jaylynn pulled back, grinning evily at him. "I had to get your attention
somehow. You were ignoring me." Jaylynn pouted. "I know...I'm sorry. I just have
something on my mind." Shane said.
"Like what?" Jaylynn asked, moving to slid off his lap but Shane clamped his
hands on her thighs to keep her there. "Well...I sort of agree'd to go to a
charity ball tomorrow night." Shane told her.
"yeah...and...." Jaylynn prodded. "Well, don't kill me, but I promised them that
you'd be there with me." Shane grimaced. "Okay...and?" Jaylynn asked.
"What? You're not going to throw me through a wall for promising to get you all
dressed up in some ball gown and force you to attend some boring ball?" Shane
asked. "Well, when you put it that way....nyah, just kidding. As long as you
don't make it a habit to promise my time, I can do it this time. Especially if
it's for charity." Jaylynn smiled. "you'll never cease to amaze me woman." Shane
grinned.
Jaylynn laughed, "now we have to find me a dress to wear. I don't believe I own
a fancy schmancy dress." Shane nodded, "One step ahead of you. Stephanie's
dressmaker has agree'd to work with you as soon as we get into Conneticut in the
morning. She has a large amount of old WWE Diva dresses because she'd done most
of the dressmaking for all of them, and she has some of her own designs for you
to look at.
"You knew I'd go ahead and agree to this, didn't you?" Jaylynn asked
suspiciously. "Well, I was sort of putting all my eggs in one basket." Shane
bashfully admitted.
"So, how's Stephanie?" Shane changed the subject. "Oh, uh, she's ok now. Just
needed some girl talk. She'll be at this charity ball thing too, right?" Jaylynn
asked.
"Yes she will. Along with Hunter, Linda and Vince." Shane told her. "I'm going
to have to meet your parents?" Jaylynn asked, sounding a tad bit uncertain of
the idea now.
"You've met my father before." Shane reminded her. "Yeah, but that was as an
employee, not as their son's lover." Jaylynn reminded him.
"It'll be fine as long as you don't remind them of the fact that we are lovers.
You're my girlfriend. They know the rest. They don't need details." Shane
instructed.
"Who else will be there?" Jaylynn asked. "I'm not exactly sure. I think it'll be
Julia Roberts and whoever her current beau is. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. A
bunch of leading couples in the entertainment industry." Shane said.
"We are a leading couple?"Jaylynn asked. "As long as you are with me, we are."
Shane murmered.
