Title: Not So Angelic
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter: 21
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I
did, I'd be busy with them right now *grin*. But I do own Jami, for she is me.
Tasha owns herself. (Heaven help the person who tries to claim he/she owns
either of us). And I use the wrestlers
wrestling names in the story, JUST DEAL WIT IT! And don't bother suing me...all
you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad
either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know
yet *L*.

After a few minutes, Jaylynn pushed Shane McMahon away so she could stand. She
crossed to a huge bay window and looked out into the dark, inky, night. She
could see people walking on the sidewalks below her, their breath visible in the
chilly night. Fans stood oustide, smoking cigerettes before more WWE Superstars
came into view.
She could tell which stars were who by the tops of their heads. Jeff Hardy posed
for photographs with a gaggle of girls pressed against him. CharLee signed a few
autographs before security whisked her away into the semi-safety of the hotel.
Shane Helms and Shannon Moore jokingly posed like superheroes.
Jaylynn pressed her face to the glass like a child does, wanting to be included
in the scene below her. Shane Helms looked up and Jaylynn drew a ragged breath.
She knew he couldn't see her, knew it was impossible. But somehow, the way he
was looking up made her think that he could see her.
Jaylynn felt Shane McMahon place a hand on the small of her back and somehow she
felt some of his strength flow through her. She felt at ease, she felt like
someday it might just be alright again.

Shane McMahon gently eased himself up onto one elbow later that night in bed.
Jaylynn slept next to him, looking at peace for the first time that day. Shane
loved watching her as she slept. The tension left her face and she honestly did
look nearly angelic.
His one wish was that he could take away all the pain that shot like lightening
through her eyes. Jaylynn shifted next to him her right hand reaching up to
entangle itself in her blonde hair, like a child does. And in that moment she
did look like a child. A child that had been wounded with cruel words and
heartbreaking looks.
He felt his heart lurch and then curl up in his throat. He knew that part of her
pain came from Shane Helms. And not just the words he had spoken in anger
towards her. He knew that part of Jaylynn was in love with the man they still
jokingly called Sugar Shane. That somewhere deep in her soul, she ached for his
touch, his kiss, his love.
Shane closed his eyes and offered a silent prayer that somewhere, Jaylynn loved
him just as much, if not more, as she did Helms. That she would deem him her
chosen one. Somehow, against what shane M. had thought were impossible odds, he
had fallen in love with the tortured woman who was laying next to him.
He knew that he woudl go to the ends of the earth to get her to return his
affection and keep her here with him.
