Title: Fallen Angel
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter: 20
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I did, I'd be busy with them right now *grin*. But I do own Jami, for she is me. Tasha owns herself. (Heaven help the person who tries to claim he/she owns either of us).  And I use the wrestlers wrestling names in the story, JUST DEAL WIT IT! And don't bother suing me...all you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know yet *L*.
Summary: New Story
Feedback: I need feedback like I need air! So give it to me, babee!

Jaylynn bit into a burger and watched her friends through eyes covered by her sunglasses. Something was definitely going on. Shane sat at one end of a super long picnic table with Matt across from him. Michelle was next to Shane with Amy across from her. One of Shannon's wrestling buddies that Jaylynn couldn't remember his name sat next to Michelle and Jaylynn sat across from him. Kali sat next to him and one of Jeff and Matt's buddies sat across from her. Shannon sat next to Kali and Jeff was across from him.

Jaylynn bit into a carrot as she snuck a look at Shane. He was joking about some prank he had played on Matt during their OMEGA days. Jaylynn glanced over and saw Kali and Shannon trying to lure Jeff into a similar conversation. The nameless wrestlers in front of her and to her side were trying to include Jaylynn in their conversation, but unfortunately, Jaylynn couldn't seem to focus on what they were saying.

Something was definitely wrong with this picture. Usually there would be one big conversation going on with lots of laughter. Amy poked Jaylynn in the ribs. "Just relax and enjoy yourself." she whispered. "Hard to do when there is so much tension in the group." Jaylynn whispered back.

Amy refused to meet her gaze instead she just whispered, "Just ignore it then." Jaylynn shook her head sadly. Easier said than done.

Finally Jaylynn had enough. "Ok. That's it. What's going on?" Jaylynn asked. Heads snapped in her direction. "What do you mean?" Kali asked.

"There is enough tension in the air to smother someone. What's going on?" Jaylynn said. "Nothing." Jeff muttered.

"Bullshit. I may not be all that smart, but I'm certainly not that dumb." Jaylynn told him. "Listen, just let it go. We'll explain later." Matt said.

"No, why can't you just tell me now?" Jaylynn asked, patience not being a trait she possessed. "Why don't you ask LoverBoy?" Shane muttered.

"What?" Jaylynn asked him. Shane looked at her coldly. "You heard me. Why don't you ask your lover, Jaylynn." Shane said, emphasizing the lover part.

Jaylynn blinked before pushing her plate away and standing up. "Thanks Kali and Shannon. Was fun. I'll see you later." she said before stepping over the bench she had been sitting on and walking back around the house to the driveway.

Jeff glanced at Shane, who feigned an innocent look. "You happy now?" he asked before going after her. "Jaylynn, wait." Jeff called as Jaylynn walked quickly to her car. She opened her car door but Jeff shut it. Jaylynn refused to turn around and look at him.

"You told him, didn't you?" She asked quietly. "Yes. But I didn't mean to. He got in my face about seeing me in your room the other night when I got here. Told me that I had no chance with you. That I couldn't make you happy. And I lost it. I didn't mean to, but I blurted out that I had made you happy the night before the PayPerView. That I had made you happy many times. He got my point. I'm sorry. I know it was childish." Jeff said.

Jaylynn blinked back tears. "I guess it was only a matter of time before everyone found out." Jaylynn sighed. Jeff tentively wrapped an arm around her waist and drew her back against him. He kissed the back of her head and Jaylynn found herself turning around to face him.

Lifting her face, he gently place a kiss on her lips. The kiss deepened and she lost herself in the moment. Jeff drew back and laid a kiss on her forehead. "Do you want to go back to the Barbeque?" he asked. "No. I just want to go home and crawl into bed." Jaylynn admitted.

"Want company?" Jeff grinned. Jaylynn smiled, "Sounds tempting, but no. Will I see you at the house show?" she asked.

"Yep. I'll look for you." he told her. Jaylynn smiled and Jeff kissed her again. He opened her car door, and after she climbed in, he shut it. He leaned in and kissed her again thru the open window before watching her pull out and leave in a cloud of dust. He made his way back around the house, he had someone to take care of.
