Jaylynn slid a pair of faded blue jeans on
over her tan and slightly bruised legs. Then she pulled on a white
peasant top before slipping on a pair of white flip flops. Then show was
done and she needed to get back to her hotel room so she could dye her
bleached blonde hair back to its natural color. The writers wanted a
physical change to her appearance to show that she was no longer the
same Angel. And Jaylynn was perfectly happy to go back to her brunette
roots.
Jaylynn grabbed her bag and left the
locker room. She immediately saw CharLee and Paul Heyman acting like two
high schoolers in love in the hallway. Jaylynn suppressed a giggle as
she approached the couple. "Ms. Emerson! How are you feeling?" Paul
asked.
Jaylynn greeted CharLee with a quick hug.
"Thanks for staying by my side at the hospital." she whispered before
turning to Paul. "I'm feeling much better. It's good to be back on TV.
Now I just can't wait to return to the ring." Jaylynn said.
"Well, don't rush it. We want you healthy
before you get back in the ring. No use going back to soon and being
injured." Paul spoke. Jaylynn nodded. "Have you two set a date yet?" she
asked.
"The ceremony is scheduled for 2 weeks
from Sunday. We noticed that Vince didn't schedule any house shows, so
we are taking advantage of it. It'll be held in Philadelphia." CharLee
said.
"Well, Congrats. I need to get a wedding
present bought then." Jaylynn laughed. "Yes you do. Your invitation
should be in your mailbox at home." CharLee grinned.

Jaylynn read the instructions to the hair
dye in her hand as she walked around her hotel room in a pair of short
track shorts and an old button up shirt.
Before she could get started though a
knock came at the door. She distractedly pulled it open, finally looking
up to see Jeff Hardy standing in front of her. "Oh...Jeff...hi. You're
just in time to help me." Jaylynn greeted as she pulled him into the
room. "What are you doing to your hair now?" Jeff asked, taking a seat
on her bed.
"Dye'ing it back to my natural hair color.
And since you are the hair dye king, you can help." Jaylynn told him.
Jeff shrugged and went to work on her hair. Neither talked while he
smoothed the goop over her head. Both were thinking about what might
have happened that early Sunday Morning.
Jaylynn wasn't about to deny that she was
physically attracted to Jeff. Who wouldn't be? But besides that, her
only feelings for him were just friendship. A rather lustful friendship,
but a friendship all the same.

Jaylynn towel dried her hair as she
glanced in the mirror to where Jeff Hardy lounged on her bed reading a
magazine. He hadn't looked up since she had walked out of the bathroom
after taking a shower. Finally she tossed the towel at Jeff, wanting his
opinion on how the hair color turned out.
Jeff grabbed the towel and looked up at
her. He didn't say anything, just stood up and walked towards her. He
circled her a few times before commenting. "I did a damn good job."
"yeah, Rico should fear for his job." Jaylynn cracked.
"You do look better as a brunette." he
told her, stopping to stand in front of her. "Thanks, I told you..."
before she could finish the sentence, Jeff's lips captured hers.
Jaylynn sighed as he deepened the kiss. A
voice in the back of her head told her that she shouldn't be in the
middle of her hotel room, kissing Jeff Hardy, when he wasn't the one she
loved. But her body chose that moment to shut the voice up.
Jeff's hands moved to unbutton her shirt
slowly. His hands progress was halted by a knock on Jaylynn's hotel room
door. Jaylynn groaned before tearing her mouth away from Jeff's. She
threw open the door and was shocked to see Shane Helms in front of her.
"Sh-Shane, what are you doing here?"
Jaylynn stammered, running a hand over her swollen lips. "I came by to
see if you wanted to grab a bite to eat. I like the hair." Shane smiled.
Jeff chose that moment to appear behind
Jaylynn. "Thanks, I did a great job, didn't I?" he asked. Jaylynn saw
Shane's eyes travel from Jeff, to Jaylynn's unbuttoned shirt, to her
swollen lips. His eyes were wide and Jaylynn felt everything spinning
out of her control.
"Shane...I can explain." Jaylynn started
but Shane cut her off. "No need to. I see I interrupted something." and
with that he was gone. Jaylynn felt tears prickling against her closed
eyelids.
Jeff laid a hand on her shoulder but
Jaylynn shrugged it off. "Please. Leave." she whispered. Jeff opened his
mouth to say something but decided against it. Instead he left and
Jaylynn closed the door heavily behind him.
