Title: Fallen Angel
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter: 10
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I

Tasha owns herself. (Heaven help the person who tries to claim he/she owns
either of us). And I use the wrestlers
wrestling names in the story, JUST DEAL WIT IT! And don't bother suing me...all
you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad
either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know
yet *L*.

Jaylynn slipped from the room that had a sign
taped to the door declaring, "Confidential Taping. Stay out!" and she took a
steadying breath before turning to walk down to the ladies locker room.
The taping of the segment had been pure hell.
Stephanie had been there, sitting just barely off camera to lend moral
support. Other than that, only the camera crew and an interviewer had been in
the room.
Shane had already taped his segment and would
now be brought in to answer a few more questions concerning what she had said.
After that Jaylynn would get another turn. This would go back and forth until
Vince McMahon deemed for it to be over.
She had tried to be so strong. So unemotional.
But they had had to stop taping a few times for Jaylynn to compose herself. At
least she hoped they had stopped taping like they claimed. She couldn't stand
the thought of the world watching her crumble.
Some of the questions that were asked were
things designed to make her crumble and she knew that Vince McMahon was behind
those questions. He was working hard to portray Jaylynn as a helpless victim,
and his son as an evil monster. But Jaylynn wasn't sure why he would want to
do that to his own son.
She knew that this had to be hurting Shane. He
had to be feeling pain knowing that his own father was willing to exploit not
only his relationship with Jaylynn, but also his momentarily loss of control.
Vince had refused to let Jaylynn cover any of
her bruises with makeup and she had been dressed in a tank top and a pair of
capri pants. Both showed off the incredibly dramatic bruises. Her hair had
been pulled up into a ponytail to show off the bruises on her face more, as
well as the red mark around her neck
Jaylynn wanted to cry at the thought that
somewhere her parents or sister would turn on the TV and see her looking
bruised and broken. That the family she hadn't spoken to in years wouldn't see
how far she had come, only how hurt she had ended up.
"Jaylynn...are you ok?" she heard Jeff Hardy
asked. Jaylynn started, realizing that she had been standing in the hallway,
staring off into space. "Oh, yeah." Jaylynn blushed.
"Are you sure? Where are you heading?" Jeff
asked. "Yeah, I'm sure. I just came from taping a segment of Confidential and
I'm heading for the women's locker room." Jaylynn said.
"How did that go?" Jeff asked, speaking of the
Confidential taping. "Well, it would have been more pleasant if they had just
sucked my brains out with a straw." Jaylynn trailed off with a slight smile.
"I heard about Vince's idea and think it sucks."
Jeff said, studying her with his intense gaze. Jaylynn instinctively knew that
he was studying her bruises that were still visible. "I know, I look like
shit. All part of Vince's master plan." Jaylynn muttered.
"Actually, I was going to say that you look
pretty damn good for someone who has been through hell." Jeff said. Jaylynn
blushed. "oh, thanks. I guess I'm still no edge from this whole thing."
Jaylynn said.
"Don't worry about it. I understand." Jeff said
and before Jaylynn could object he had wrapped her in a gentle hug.
"Hey, what's going on?" Jaylynn heard Shane
Helms ask. Jeff and Jaylynn broke apart. "Just chatting." Jaylynn said, hating
how she blushed slightly.
Shane nodded and smiled, but Jaylynn could tell
that he wasn't happy. "yeah, I found her standing alone in the hallway,
staring off into space." Jeff grinned. The smile on Shane's lips slid off.
"You were alone? You promised that you wouldn't go off alone." He accused.
The defiant lift of her chin appeared again.
"I'm a big girl Shane. I can go down a hallway by myself." she told him
evenly. "YOu didn't do such a good job of that the other night, babe." Shane
said.
Jaylynn narrowed her her eyes at him. "Back off
Helms. I'm not your damsel in distress so I don't need saved by you or anyone
else." She shot at him before stomping down the hallway. Jeff and Shane
watched her go in confusion.
