Jaylynn filed out into the church lobby, waiting patiently for her turn to
great the brand new married couple. Kali and Brock stood to each side of the
couple, smiling at friends.
"Ow!" Jaylynn heard someone hiss and she looked up to see Kali batting
innocent eyes at Shane McMahon. "Sorry Shane, I'm just so clumsy with these
shoes I guess. I didn't mean to step on your foot." Kali purred and Shane
shot her a pained smile before leaning in to hug CharLee. Kali's eyes turned
to Jaylynn's and the girl winked and Jaylynn struggled to keep from
giggling.
Finally Jaylynn reached Kali, "Clumsy today, 'ey?" she asked and Kali gave
her a solemn nod, but the corners of her mouth twitched slightly. Jaylynn
moved on down the line.

Jaylynn sank down into a chair at a table in the reception hall. People
filed into the room in streams, most laughing and having fun as they waited
for the bridal party to arrive.
Jaylynn looked to the place cards on either side of her and was relieved to
see that Amy and Stacy were the ones seated next to her. She knew that
Andrew Martin (aka Test) would be on the other side of Stacy and Matt on the
other side of Amy. So that only left one more mystery chair across from her
at the rounded table.
Amy and Matt sank into their respective seats and Amy immediately kicked off
her shoes. "When we get married, I'm going barefoot." Amy announced. "Who
says we're going to get married?" Matt asked jokingly.
"You're dad. He said we needed to stop pussy footin' around the issue." Amy
shot back, making a horrified look cross her face.
Jeff Hardy approached the table warily and sat in the mystery chair. Jaylynn
felt a slight mix of fear and triumph as she noticed the light bruise on his
face. "Hey Matt, Amy...Jaylynn." Jeff greeted, nodding his head at each of
them.
Jaylynn met his green eyes and immediately wished she hadn't. She felt her
face flush was shame, embarrassment and utter humiliation. Luckily Stacy and
Andrew approached at that moment.
"I just LOVE weddings!" Stacy squealed as she sat down. Andrew rolled his
eyes as he sat next to her. "Wasn't the ceremony beautiful? CharLee looked
gorgeous!" Stacy gushed. Amy and Stacy began to debate garden weddings
versus church weddings while Jaylynn used the opportunity to zone out.
So far, nothing bad had happened since she had found herself surrounded by
the men who had betrayed her. Ok, she knew she was sounding a bit
over-dramatic, but really, didn't she have the right to? The three men she
had let herself trust had all conspired to hurt her and they probably never
would have admitted it if Helms hadn't made his late night, slightly drunk
confession. RIght now she was less mad at him for only that reason. He had
confessed. They had gotten away Scot-free but he had confessed.
Jaylynn shifted in her seat and saw Helms sitting at a table to her right,
sandwiched between Shannon Moore and Torrie Wilson. His brown eyes
immediately met hers and for a moment she could almost forget what had
happened. Almost.
