the "Anti-Prep"
Jamie's best friend in Sera could easily be popular. His family is relatively wealthy and he dresses well. His parents own a beautiful house with a balcony that overlooks the river. It is a credit to his mother and father, however, that they always taught him responsibility and respect for others. The result is that George dislikes those who raise themselves up by kicking the underdog.
George's father, a park ranger, has been forced to move his family around quite a bit. George spent the largest part of his life in Anchorage, AK, where a Japanese friend taught him to use the bo staff. He hasn't mentioned this to any of his friends in Missouri, however, as he feels awkward at the thought of fighting.
George is well-kept and neat to a fault. His short, blonde hair causes him discomfort, as the natural curliness makes it difficult to comb.
