Southern Belle With a Black Belt When Alexandria was in the fourth grade, Aurthur elementary school opted to create a cheerleading squad for its budding, little league basketball teams. They also ended the squad that same year, after she had hurt her back while attempting a backflip. When she went to the hospital, the doctor explained to her that one of her vertebrae looked like "an Oreo cookie that has been squeezed until the filling has started to bulge out of the middle." He told her that backflips (and cheerleading) were out of the question for awhile. But he did recommend that she do some kind of physical activity to help her to build up her strength again. When she went to one of the two tae kwon do dojangs in the Bluff, she only expected to do it until her back was strong again.
She's now up for her black belt.
Alex's cheerful disposition is contagious, making her a natural when taking over the youth class of her martial arts school, which includes Elizabeth Raleigh, the niece of Jamie Raleigh. She has also developed a crush on another member of her class . . . One Max Lee Adams.
