Cerberus is making huge mistakes that it will regret later.
Cool: Dump the overpaid and redundant staff. Moving right along here, but let's start shoving them out the door faster.
Good plan: Whittle down the dealers from 3600 to a manageable 3000 or so. Then combine all of them into Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge franchises. One dealer for every 100,000 citizens seems perfectly viable. I know Toyota has less, but the service centers are too far apart.
Increase production to 3 million plus vehicles annually. That requires about 9 assembly plants altogether. Retrench into the rust belt as much as possible to improve economies of scale.
Reduce product line. But watch what you cut!!! Crossfire, YUP. Pacifica, YUP. Aspen, YUP (leave all SUVs to Jeep). PT Cruiser, WRONG; because all that is needed here is a revamp of a popular product. Viper, STUPID; because halo cars is what draws customers. Magnum, you have got to be kidding! This car reeks Chrysler individuality. If your head turns when a car drives by, then you got it right. Don't mess with success! And now JEEP! Fire the bums!
Sometimes methinks that Cerberus' only goal is to sell of anything of value and let the corporation die so they can count the money.

CHRYSLER

PT Cruiser just needs a revamp on the Neon platform. LeBaron Rename Sebring as LeBaron (sounds more luxurious). The current Sebring needs a Lexus GS makeover kit LeBaron Convertible Chrysler 300 Rad dude.
Chrysler Imperial would be a stretch version of the 300.
