Pics from my recent trip to the Kansai area
Recent Events:
This famous Kyoto Shrine is named Ginkakujin because it is coated in gold leaf.
A picture of Osaka castle, one of the most famous castles in Japan.  Most castles across Japan are recreations because whenever a new ruler would take over they wold burn down their rivals' castles. Also they were subject to earthquakes, lightning and fire.

storefronts in Gion, the Geisha district.
(RIGHT) Noh, an ancient Japanese style of Theater is performed at Heian Shrine in Kyoto only two nights a year. While the costumes are great and the story summaries interesting, it is hard to understand what is going on, even for Japanese people
