"I�m just getting ready to dive into the special edition of Pee Wee�s Playhouse. The DVDs we just came out with is all the episodes including eight lost episodes, but it doesn�t include any special material. We�re making a documentary on the making of the show and interviewing a lot of people connected with it. I�m just finishing writing two movie scripts that I�ve been finishing writing for about three years. One might start shooting as soon as I�m finished; the other, I�m toying with doing as an animated film instead of live action, possibly along the lines of Polar Express."

Pee-wee's Big Comeback!"
Now that his legal woes are behind him, and after a 13-year Pee-wee abstinence, Reubens is ready to bring the helium-voiced weirdo with the ill-fitting suit out of mothballs.
"I'm really proud of both the Pee-wee movies and the television series, and now I'm thinking of taking Pee-wee into the future," Reubens told USA Today.

Happy Birthday Paul and Pee-wee's Playhouse DVD news!
Paul Reubens is 52 today! Great news for Pee-wee fans, Pee-wee's Playhouse is coming to DVD in November!
(from tvshowsondvd.com) In early June, Image Entertainment distributed this press release about their plans to release Pee-wee's Playhouse on DVD this Fall. Image hasn't released any further details themselves since that release was sent around, but nevertheless we have some new info for you, including a specific date!
Online e-tailer DVDEmpire.com added some listings yesterday for Pee-wee's Playhouse - Volume 1 and Pee-wee's Playhouse - Volume 2. According to them, November 16 is when both of these will get released. List price is shown to be $49.95 each, although you can pre-order them right now from DVDEmpire for a 25% discount.
