It all started in July of 2001 when I met this English gent on MSN messenger. He was a member of the same community that I belonged to and also a friend of my best internet friend at that time.
We had similar likes and dislikes and became close friends rather quickly. We had chatted, wrote REAL letters sending pictures, and made a few expensive phone calls in 18 months.
We decided we wanted to meet face to face...so...I booked a plane to London in July of 2002 to meet my dashing Knight In Shining Armour! I spent six glorious days with Lance then headed back to Ohio with the promise from Lance that he would fly over soon.
We also decided a few months after my July trip to become engaged.
In November of 2002, Lance flew over to Ohio and I had our wedding arranged to take place in my home with a few friends and my brother " giving me away."
In January of 2002, we sold my car, house and some furnishings and moved to the UK. Bought a house in the southern part of Wales. ..Only to find out that the UK does not recognize LPN nurses from the USA...so now we have sold our house and in the process of moving house to Virginia, USA to be closer to my daughter who is stationed in the US NAVY there in Norfolk.
It has been a very long "ride" to get where we are today...but we both feel we have FINALLY met our "soul mate"
