Potato Soup 4 Large Potatoes, peeled & diced. 1 Teaspoon Onion Salt, afterward while cooking, add more to taste, if needed. 4-6 Slices White Bacon, rinsed. 1 - 12 ounce can Cream. 2 cups Milk. 2 Tablespoons Butter. To taste Salt. To taste Black Pepper.
Directions to prepare: 1. Peel and dice Potatoes, rinse. 2. In skillet fry the White Bacon and drain grease 3. On low heat, combine Cream, Milk, Onion Salt, Butter, Salt, Pepper, add the slices of cooked White Bacon. Stirring ocassionally until the butter melts throughly and the mixture is ready to start boiling. 4. Add potatoes to the mixture. Bring to a boil, and lower the heat just to the lightest boiling point the pan will maintain. Continue stirring occassionally. Heat until potatoes are throughly cooked. Add more Onion Salt, Salt, Pepper, if needed.
I suggest heating it until the soup thickens on its own. Crumble your favorite bread, (I perfer white bread, you may perfer to make a cornbread), in to the bottom of the bowl, and enjoy! Each time you re-heat the left-overs, it just gets better and better. |
