The last light dwindles and fades from blue skies, still aglow from a golden orb high overhead, and darkness falls, softly, gently, like a gentle sigh. I lay silently, the darkness' gentle wings first outspread, then encircling me. The darkness is soft, and warm, beckoning me, engulfing me. I am alone. I hunger to become a silent shadow hidden within the darkness. My eyes lift and I whisper questions to the darkness, I wish I could know, yet - I receive no answers. Lost dreams, lost hopes, Sleep comes for me, and for one last time, I dream. |
