"Where’s Izzy?" Jamie asked groggily.

"Welcome, Digidestined!"

Jamie whirled around. MetalSeadramon was gone, but a human that looked similar to Matt’s dad was standing in front of him.

"I am Konar, twin brother of Genai," the human said. "I created the Digiworld. For a long time good ruled there, but then I decided I wanted it back. So my council and me sent our finest warriors, but to no avail. Then our four most successful council members, other then myself, of course, known as the Dark Masters, captured the Digiworld at last. Only to have the Digidestined take it away."

Jamie decided to believe him. "If you created the Digiworld…did you create the real world?"

Konar shook his head. "No, nor do I know who did. Whoever it was existed long before me. Whoever made your world also must have been ten times more powerful than I am. But the real world is no concern to me. I want only the Digiworld."

"If you harm the Digiworld, the real world is affected as well!"

Konar shrugged indifferently. "I told you I don’t care about the real world. Destroy it for all I care."

This was too much. Jamie angrily charged at Konar, just to fly backwards. Jamie got up, blood trickling down his lip, and charged him again. Konar raised a hand and Jamie flew in the opposite direction. "Better leave this to me," Tigermon said.

Tigermon, digivolve to…Panthermon!

Konar disappeared to his council room. Puppetmon snickered. "Lord Konar, can I take care of him? MetalSeadramon always gets to do the fun stuff!"

"Sure, but be quick."

Puppetmon appeared. "It’s Puppetmon!" Panthermon yelled.

"You’re pretty smart," Puppetmon whined. "In fact, you’re so smart, I bet you could guess what I’ll say next!"

"Run!" Jamie yelled, jumping on Panthermon.

"That’s close, but the answer was Puppet Pommel!"

The lightning fast energy bullets that Puppetmon shot were fast, but not as fast as Panthermon. They escaped, but barely.

"Izzy, we have to find Izzy," Jamie kept saying. Panthermon was getting tired, but he didn’t say anything until he could literally run no more.

"Jamie, can we please stop and rest?"

"Rest?" Jamie shrieked. "Rest? Panthermon, Izzy’s out there, somewhere, and he could be dying, and its up to me to help him! You can’t say I’m playing the hero this time, Panthermon, this is real. I am the only one here who can and will help him, and I’ll show you, you see if I don’t!"

Panthermon didn’t dare contradict him.

"Meow," said the cat at the window. It pawed at the apartment window in hope someone might notice, then admitted defeat. The cat jumped down, crushing a petunia in his escape. Unfortunately, the petunia was potted.

The pot cracked loudly. Luckily, hardly anyone heard. Hardly.

"Meeko!" Augumon scolded groggily. "Dumb kitty…okay, if you’re that hungry, I’ll let you in."

Meeko scramble through the door. Augumon, who was tired, went back off to his bed in Tai’s room.

"You up?" Gatomon asked. She had been awakened too.

Augumon nodded. "Meeko knocked over a flowerpot."

"I heard."

Gatomon, who had very sensitive hearing, listened intently. "Hold now. I hear something."

"Meeko again?"

"No, like bats."

"Maybe it’s a bird."

Gatomon shook her head firmly. "Believe me, if anyone knows what a bat sounds like, its me."

Gatomon walked slowly to the door. "It was almost like…"

Augumon was startled "Gatomon, where are you going?"

Gatomon didn’t answer. She scrambled out the door.

Augumon opened the door slowly. He could see someone outside. "Gatomon?"

The figure in the darkness approached Augumon. Augumon had seen enough scary movies in Tai’s bedroom to know this thing was not Gatomon. "Pepper Breath!"

The creature didn’t like that.

"All digimon shall rule under Lord Konar!" the digimon said. "I shall do his bidding and serve him! For I am Phantomon!"
