When A Butterfly Flap Its Wings…
Sora, Biymon, Mimi, & Palomon
"Sora, you’re going to be late!" Sora’s mother said, handing her a soccer ball. "Good luck, I’m sorry I cant be there today."
Sora could remember a time when her mom wouldn’t let her go to soccer. But times change. Her mother then produced a small trinket from her pocket. "You forgot your digivice and it wound up in the wash. You do want good luck, don’t you?"
With the Dark Masters gone, that was all she used her digivice for. Good luck. "Thanks, mom," Sora said, smiling. "I’ll see you after the game.
"Score a goal for me!" Sora’s mom called. Sora headed off to the park. Biyomon swooped from out of the apartment window. "You weren’t really trying to go to soccer without me, were you?"
Sora rolled her eyes. "You can come, as long as you don’t Spiral Twister the referee when he gives you a penalty."
Some people stared at Biyomon, but the town had generally excepted the digimon. Although they caused the kids many odd looks, you can bet that Izzy never got picked on at school again. Or Joe, for that matter.
Mimi was not into sports. She stood on the sidelines, but Palomon almost always wound up as goalie. Her ball catching abilities were legendary. Of course, she had vines on her side.
It was a mild game. Afterwards, Sora and Mimi headed off to a place of infinite diversity. It was a bargain. Mimi came to the soccer game, and Sora went to—
"The mall!" Mimi sighed. "Oh look!"
"At what?"
"Over there!"
Sora was confused. "Do you see someone you know?"
"No, I see shoes! On sale! Isn’t this great? Fifty percent off!"
Some things never change.
After Mimi’s shoe craze had died down, they headed to the food court. On the way Sora walked right into a girl carrying a lot of boxes. The boxes fell everywhere.
"I’m so sorry!" Sora exclaimed. "Let me help you with those." Sora and Mimi helped the girl to her feet. Only then did Sora recognize the girl.
It was Mimi.
Jamie, Tigermon, Izzy & Tentomon
"It’s a wonderful day for a walk," Tentomon exclaimed. Tigermon was doing his best to keep up.
Izzy, Jamie, Tigermon, and Tentomon were enjoying a nature hike. The wildlife was still and quiet. Of course, Tigermon spoiled much of that.
"Do you hear something?" Tigermon asked Izzy for the twentieth time. "How about you, Jamie?"
"We don’t hear anything, Tigermon," Jamie answered for the twentieth time. "I think you’re hearing things."
"You bet I’m hearing things," Tigermon said in an annoyed tone. "What I don’t get is why you don’t."
A huge creature smashed in front of their path. "What the-" Jamie gasped.
Faster than a bullet, Izzy whipped out of his laptop. "That’s MetalKuwagagamon, an Ultimate form digimon. His front pincher claws could slice through ChromeDigizoid Metal like it was hot butter!"
"We can’t defend ourselves against that!" Jamie screamed. "Tigermon, digivolve!"
"I’m sorry, Jamie. I cant."
Jamie spun around, horrified. "What do you mean, you cant?"
"I haven’t digivolved for over a year. It’s just too much."
"Well, I can!" Tentomon yelled.
Tentomon, digivolve to…Kabuterimon!
"Electro Shocker!"
MetalKuwagamon blocked it easily. "Quick, kids, get away while you still can!"
"What about you?" Izzy yelled.
"Just run! I have an idea!"
They did. Kabuterimon blasted a tree, and it fell on MetalKuwagamon’s head. MetalKuwagamon was stunned for a second.
Kabuterimon swooped down and picked up the kids like they weighed nothing. He flew off into the air. Then Izzy saw something in the air near them.
"It’s a Kabuterimon," Izzy yelled. "And it’s carrying someone!"
It was. And as Kabuterimon2 glided past him, he saw Izzy. Staring back at him with cold hatred.
