| Children's Theater Experience I have worked with children of all ages, not only privately as a voice and piano teacher, but also in workshops, day camps, overnight camps, children's shows, and in professional shows geared toward children. Below is a fairly complete list of my experience in "children's theater", recognizing the broadness of that category and all it can include. I have included links to some of the organizations if you would like further information about them. In addition to the above, the show show Starting Here, Starting Now, which I did as an independent senior project (in high school) through the Derryfield School, was cast, with two exceptions, with students ages 10 to 18. I was the director, musical director, producer, and choreographer for this production, and volunteers from the community played in the band and ran tech for the production. When working with children, I am very comfortable in the roles of musical director, music and drama teacher, voice and piano teacher, and choreographer. In addition, I have extensive experience directing children in productions and leading them in various workshops. I currently lead a "Broadway Kids" performance class in Exeter. In the last year and a half I have been working as a music teacher, and also doing some movement and drama, with 3-6 year olds in local schools. I'm really enjoying my work and have learned an incredible amount so far, and I'm thrilled that I've found this line of work. |
