There would be no argument that Katharine is one of the most best actresses ever to grace our screens. Her fiesty nature fulluy suited the characters that she usually played on screen - a strong, aggressive and independent woman but of course, she can show us that she has a softer appeal in "The African Queen" and "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner as well. Her screen chemistry with real life lover, Spencer Tracy is unmatched by any other screen couple. Born in 1907, she is still alive today and hold the record for most Oscar nominations (12 altogether for Best Actress) and is also the only actor to win four statuettes ("Morning Glory" in 1932, "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" in 1967, shared the award with Barbara Streisand in 1968 for "The Lion in Winter" and "On Golden Pond" in 1982). She never attended any of these ceremonies.
