Home School Garden Days With Mrs. Vivian
Art's Center Garden, 115 2nd St. SW
Planting day is Saturday May 17th starting at 9 am.
If you want to buy your own plants, please coordinate
with me to make sure our colors blend well. If you want
to plant what we already have, just show up with a trowel
or small shovel, and a watering can or bucket. If you want
to contribute financially, please let me know so I can plan
the budget.
Watering needs to be done daily for a few weeks until
new plants are established, so I am asking each family
to sign up for one day per week to water. After that,
the plots will need water, weeding and cultivating two times
each week. We will meet together Thursdays & Saturdays 9-11am.
Families may just show up when it is convenient between
those times. Depending on participation, we will need families
to work once each week or two, and you may come as often as
you want to. This can be our summer social time!
Mrs. Vivian, my Mom, will be the teacher at the garden plot.
She is willing to teach children of any age how to care for
the plants. She can not baby-sit, so young children can not
be left without older siblings to watch them. Ideally, we hope
Moms will stay for the fun!
