This is a beta version of easyplayback. I have added some new features as follows.

1.  DDE link. This makes possible for a trading platform to link this playback program. Also it can provide the playback feature for any charting softwares that support DDE, for example, tradestation and metastock via www.traders-soft.com or www.hypertrader.it  For detail of this DDE feature, please take a look at dde_sample.xls  in this release.
2. Speed control. Now users can change the playback speed during the program is running.
3. Generate an Esignal playback file from ensign files for esignal users. The generated file is "practice.EPF".
4. In the above (1) and (3), users can playback as many trading days as they like at one time. The previous version only provides one trading day of playback.
5. A non sierra subscriber can also enjoy this playback program. Here is a way to do. SierraChart provides unpaid users to use it 4 instruments. It is so called "trial mode". This playback program can map the playback file to one of these four. For example, you can map ES to IBM. Then though the title of the chart is IBM, the price is ES.

Most common question:

Q:I have followed the instruction there. But my chart is not updated or my sierra reports some errors.

A:Hit F5 to go to Chart settings. Then put start time:00:00 and end time:23.59. Then set as default.

Note for developers:  Any front end developers who would like to add the DDE link of this program in their trading simulations, are required to contact me at for a permission.

Installation:  Unzip the all files of  "easyplayback_beta.zip" to a folder. Before running the program: "StartHere.exe", you need to double click the file: "reg.bat" to register the file: "easypb.dll" in your pc. Then the program is installed. Some pcs do  not put the file "regsvr32.exe" in their environment. In this case, using notepad to open "reg.bat" to comment out some related lines.

When running the program next time, you only need double click "StartHere.exe".

Some Windows systems complain that the file: msstdfmt.dll is missing when the program is running. I have included the file in this release. You can use it or find it from google or download it from msstdfmt.dll The registration procedure of "msstdfmt.dll" to your pc is similar to that of "easypb.dll" mentioned above.

Uninstallation: Double click the file: "unreg.bat" to unregister "easypb.dll" and remove all files in this release.
