| Eger is a small wine-growing town in the north of Hungary, and the birthplace of my friend, �gi. Its most well-known wine is Bikav�r (Bull's Blood). The wine is connected in history and legend to the Siege of Eger in 1552, in which 2000 defenders successfully held out for 39 days against a Turkish force of at least 40 000. |
