The medical profession has devolved into 'bad' business, at best, and is trying to take 'us' all with it. While, the basis of all relations, including with self, and all studies, including activism and advocacy, are also environmental, spiritual, etc., yet, the delusional constructs of
'materialism' have all but done away with most of those discernments. As has the marginalizing of issues of community, environment, sociology in the realms of the supposed medical and other professions, professional ethics, politics, et al. The patriarchal nature of technocratic societies, which are only becoming more so with the passage of time, has completely transferred to all professions, including medical, healthcare, social work, etc..
I feel the asking of the why "we" don't necessarily have spiritual human relationships is as interesting a question as the question of why it's not even possible for our health care systems to work; as they ignore the reality of the necessity for somatic, organic, and sociological and environmental solutions- readily available through alternative, preventative, and social medicines. You see, the individual aspects of humane being, uplifted by society, are the elemental aspects of any successful care-giving, or healthcare process; which is beyond the conception of modern society at large, at present.
Even though the personal is the basis for the communal, global, et al, what becomes societal trend, and thereby market directed sociological programming of people, is of more far reaching causes and, sadly, effects; and thereby, the business of medicine in this country has become the business of not wellness. One of the problems is that the market forces don't adjust evolutionarily, or positively, in terms of growth that doesn't follow it's age old principles of ever-increasingly, cyclical and centralizing supposed garnering of delusional profits and delusional pleasures, in the shortest amount of time; usually along the lines of divide and conquer. For e.g., uplifting human rights has always been the direction of the evolution, which empowers community, neighborliness, family, relations with self and others,
which all empower personal responsibility for health and one's, as well as all's, health itself.
Also health related realisms, personal, communal, multi-media, national, global, environmental concerns, actions, time, money from all attempts by the spectrum of activists and advocates, et al, to do what they all could to prevent the destruction of global, local, eco-systems to the point where the ecological destruction was such that it would be irreversible, and catastrophic, altering the earth's rotation on its axis, etc., in the future, and thereby at least causing the extinction of humanity and large mammals, has to be considered seriously in the medical and healthcare professions; to mitigate the devolutionary part they play, especially through their disempowerment of humanity.
Lest "we" forget, the recent societal history of the turning of the medical profession into a business, its current state, has also facilitated the corporate structure and its puppets, like gov'ts, organized supposed religions, supposed politics, other supposed sciences, and supposed arts, to stop those humanitarian individual to global evolutionary movements and trends, and/or at least subvert, co-opt, convert them into becoming as devolutionary as they can, mitigating the strength of the decentralizing, humanitarian, and evolutionary efforts of all kinds by all those who are, stopping the evolution in its tracks, making it and all life uplifting it easier targets, etc., for their worship as a denomination of the real religion of them all, greed!
You see, the corporate structure figured out that a possible potential of democratic processes, for e.g., one man, one vote (what's needed in Iraq), would be those very evolutionary trends of saving humanity from itself, like switching to renewable and non-polluting sources of energy, non-fossil fuels, non-'bustible engines, etc., which were totally opposite of all their
ends and most of their means; in two words, uber-greed and avarice. So, now, people protecting for environmental issues are conveniently being labeled 'terrorist', etc., because of the (anti-) Patriot Act, etc., paving the yellow brick road of the delusional constructs of materialism and destruction and murder as delusional profit and delusional pleasure (the
'ends' of the 'means' of divide and conquer), as societies' perfection of sociological organizing principles, determining all evolutionary growth will be at least mitigated; as far as the corporate structure's concerned.
Yet, those delusional constructs, like materialism and destruction and murder as delusional profit and delusional pleasure, which all life are only more organized on as societal building blocks, aren't, wherein lies the epitome of individual and global problems of any and all kinds; and the basis for the extreme relevance of this topic to any and all. For e.g., in one of our main fields discussion here, counseling, therapy, et al, materialism and patriarchal determination of devolutionary behaviorism, the medical business' choice to replace the evolutionary movements of psychology, have made most psychiatrists runners for the street drug pushers, pharmacies, who are materially married to there drug gang, their hospital, who are all part of the larger drug cartels, all part of the pharmaceutical industries; determining the devolution of the people through almost forced drug use.
In my field of mental health, early proofs of this follow :) Healy (The Antidepressant Era) claims that earlier psychiatry was also scientifically based and had some notable successes, such as the treatment of catatonia with shock therapy; though, I disagree with that conclusion and its use at all. Healy's second theme, and much more sound, is that because the success of psychiatric drugs, the choice of treatment options is largely dependent on the financial preferences of the pharmaceutical industry. For example, the author argues that "randomized controlled trials" of drugs are favored by the pharmaceutical industry because they allow products to be marketed to a wide audience, but what is desperately needed is more research on the effects of medications on more specific types of patients. While this theme has certainly been sounded before (T.R. Luhrmann's Of Two Minds is an accessible discussion of the pitfalls of drug-based psychiatry), the detailed history of the development of psychiatric drugs and the "culture" surrounding them makes this book unique. For academic libraries. Mary Ann Hughes, Neill P.L., Pullman, WA. Another, Jonathan Cole's leadership of the Psychopharmacology Research Center within the National Institute of Mental Health, that multiple seminal meetings during the 1950's were held in France, the United States, Italy and elsewhere to grapple with the amazing clinical and scientific impact of chlorpromazine, that clinical rating scales become of validating importance, that there were vigorous disputes about lithium utility and the concept of panic disorder, that there was an unfortunate shift away from clinical significance to statistical significance, that the pharmaceutical industry dominates clinical research, that this is facilitated by the abdication by N.I.M.H. and academia of clinical psychopharmacological science in pursuit of the sub-synaptic, that industry's narrow, profit maximization focus on patent time limits and rapid approval by national regulatory agencies (for e.g., F.D.A.) dominates marketing strategies, dissemination of positive information, downplays side effects, limits research to acute efficacy studies, limits post-marketing surveillance, and promotes debatable, simplistic, theories of drug action to provide a persuasive veneer of scientific solidity to therapeutic claims, as well as having notable doctors certification placed on studies by pharmaceutical corporations when the doctors had nothing to do with it, etc.. This devolutionary global malignancy is irrefutable, with tons of evidence; in every field of human endeavor, though!
While more to the point, more evolutionary pioneers like Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, the pre-eminent authority on mythology in the last century and perhaps ever, which he called the "universal-consciousness", by which he meant that the subconscious of our minds are somehow all connected or are part of a common `source' from which our "archetypal" motifs are drawn. He derived his belief in UC from his studies of the dream imagery of his patients, which contained alchemical motifs and symbols common to the alchemists of the Middle Ages but which had not been accessible to his 20th Century patients. Which the corporate structure ‘uses’ quite well in their playing technocracies populaces like a 5 dollar fiddle. As well, keeping Jung's analysis in mind, that 80 % of every action, thought, feeling we have is compensatory towards our past (especially nonintegrated experiences, etc.), this would bring light to the question, is this global racing towards our extinction we’ve planned, on the horizon, humanities’ fulfilling a mass collective unconscious form of what Freud called an individual’s “death wish”, or rather, a cleverly planned and executed sociological programming and processing of humanity, to maximize the uber-profits of the few; while dictating the premeditated mass-murder of 6 to 7 billion, with the ‘use’ of scarcity based economic systems, mainly ‘vacuum-up’ economics, which is destroying the reality of nature’s abundance based systems of all kinds, etc.. Cooperative empowering community based inclusive solutions to mental health issues, like Sotiera in the 70’s, Norman Cousin's studies, alternative medicines and health, and more recently, Dr. Adams, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Bernie Seigal, etc., have been proven to be much more productive and humane; as well as providing a hopeful direction for the future.
When I speak of delusions, I don't think of anyone as deluded; I'm speaking in universal generalities. Freud, who I disagree a lot with, said, "the best of us are only healthy neurotics", all suffer from illusions, at least, if not some delusions. I don't make egoistic points on projecting holier than though formulas that are perceived as perfect, ergo, by association, making me look perfect, and compensatory, making me feel perfect. Rather, a mutually uplifting process, historically known as conversation, etc.. So, what I'm getting at is that the sociological spiritual vacuum that the illusions of possession, separation, matter as possibly devoid of spirit, of energy and matter not being the same, of spirituality being a choice only and not a reality, etc., are the bricks in the delusional constructed wall of materialism, which doesn't exist. Determining that most of humanity, at least sociologically, doesn't see the forest for the trees, and won‘t evolve; and, thereby, not exist, in the future.
Thereby, mammon, the supposed god of greed has become the actual religion and science that most of supposed Muslims and supposed Christians and their denominations, supposed scientists, supposed artists, etc., as well as most others, practice under as denominations of it, this the actual unifying we're seeing going on now; determining real studies of any and all kinds will be mitigated at least. A prime example of this is how all gov't scientists have been actually political scientists first, for decades, just 'using' their supposed scientific disciplines to meet the market needs of the symbiotic half of the duopolies parties enthroned at the time, or that they represent, yet, under emperor Bush, they've been devolved to actually being theological supposed scientists before they're even political ones; literally taking actual science out of what the gov't projects is science- a very alarming devolutionary trend, which could cause the extinction of humanity and large mammals, itself, alone.
All that isn't even taking into consideration global societies delusional constructs surrounding their god of war, mollock, based on the delusional definitions of destruction to murder as power, which alone, also, could cause the extinction of humanity and large mammals. Humanity must stand and be counted before the devolution determines it never was, as it will determine it never will be anymore, and thereby, determining the extinction of humanity and large mammals by force! Another example, the militarization of 'nation' states, and their "unending world war" on supposed terrorism (which is actually more like a globalization of the war against the middle to lower classes by the corporate structure), led by the military and gov't of the united suck of assassins, to enforce all devolutionary processes in general, yet, specifically to enforce the extinction processes, which humanity might rise evolutionarily to stop, otherwise. Dylan Thomas' poem line comes to mind, "...and death (murder) shall have no dominion...".; as others might say, "we, the people...", can make it so! What do you think? Lest "we" forget, if you don't exercise responsibility, its Siamese twin sister, freedom, will wither like a muscle, as well. Sadly, now, it first needs to be exorcized before its exercised. As always, feel free to copy and share, as well. Viva la evolution!
