SAILING THE SEA OF MERINGUE

The title came first, then I goofed around with it, and it ended up being this kinda neat image piece. Of course, it has at heart my own subversive, nihilistic point of view, which is that people almost always make things out to be better or worse than they are (or were). We must be, above all, good scientists; figure out how much of what our fellow beings tell us is balderdash. I think I really wrote this for my nieces and nephews. It's probably the best advice that, as an uncle, I could ever give them. The few of them who have read this poem, naturally, have no idea what I'm talking about.
