Dear Friends,I had the good fortune to audio tape the Shoe Suede Blues gig on Friday night (May 22nd) and the entire Party performance (Jameslee, The Characters and SSBs) on Saturday night (May 23rd). This is approximately 6 hours of audio (give or
take--I'll do a definitive timing if anyone is interested). While we are all eagerly awaiting Dina and Robin's video compilation of the weekend, I feel selfish keeping my tapes all to myself. To be fair to Dina, who needs to make back some of the money she laid out as well as finding it difficult to put a price on such wonders, I have decided to make these cassettes available to anyone interested for a song--actually, for several songs.
To clarify, I am interested in TRADING ONLY (at this time). I will gleefully accept 5-6 hours of audio tapes (or a minimum of 3 hours video tape) of Monkees, James Lee Stanley, Peter Tork and/or Two Man Band recordings in exchange for these cassettes. In doing this, I hope to increase my own collection as well as yours, share music which deserves to be shared and not make a profit/take money away from Dina and/or Robin who have expenses to recoup. If you do not have audio/video tapes but have other wares to trade, please don't hesitate to contact me--I am a firm believer in the barter system and will consider all reasonable offers.
To resale collectors, I have one (and I think fair) request...if I trade for something from your collection, I ask that you not put these tapes on your "resale market" for a minimum of 6 to 12 months. I would like to have an opportunity to trade directly with individuals first so that I can (as I said) increase my own musical collection. After that time, you may resell them at a fair price if you wish. I do reserve the right to refuse a trade at my own discretion.
If you are interested in "making a deal," please e-mail me directly at [email protected] and use the subject "FLHB Tape Trade."
Thank you kindly.
