Homage
to Baxter
Resonance VII
The Baxter Home on Bedford Parade, Brighton
1994
I was fortunate enough to photograph inside James
K's room for Frank McKay's book and was happy with the results. The Outside
of the house has always been difficult to see, as though there were private
things that happened behind the hedge while the turret gave a full
view of the world. To get this shot I had to back the Land Rover up onto
the lawn on the road across from the house and set the tripod up on top
of the roof. From here I was able to juxtapose Scroggs Hill with the house
and due to winter the leafless Hawthorn hedge gave some visual clues of
the lower part of the house. |
