Other Metallic toners
There is a range of other metallic toner recipes that produce an equally
wide range of tones and colourations. The permanence and stability of these
relates to the nature of the base metal.

Nickel with variations can Produce red to violet toned prints

Vanadium Produces green tones of a permanent nature.

Uranium yields brown to reddish tones it intensifies the image and
the results may prove impermanent.

Mercury produces a range of tones from rich warm brown through to
black brown.

Ferric (iron) These toner convert the silver image into a
brilliant prussian blue ferro-ferriccyanide compound They tend to intensify
the image and increase density.

Copper yields tones from warm brown to light red

Lead In lead toning the image is converted into yellow
lead chromate
