Appendix 1  Makes of B&W Paper
Over the past few years there has been a tendency to reduce the number of papers manufactured and also stocked by the distributors, but this information will act as a guide for paper still available and others that a photographer may come across.
One of the best suppliers of papers is 
Brovira speed RC comes in semi matte, lustre and glossy , and grades 1-4
Multicontrast Premium RC This paper produces Neutral to warm tones and has blacker haze free blacks and purer whites than any other RC paper and is not developer dependent. Available in Glossy and semi-matte.

Multicontrast Classic 111- FB This is a double weight fibre based paper with very warm to neutral tones. Glossy surface.Tones well with selenium.
Record Rapid is a graded Fibre Based paper grades 1-3 and comes in Glossy or Semi-Matte. It produces a rich warm black  tone. It is a  Silver chlorobromide emulsion that tones well in selenium.w
Brovira  is a Fibre Based paper with a Silver Bromide rich emulsion that produces neutral to cold black toned prints

Portriga is a double weight fibre based paper with an over all warm tone in both blacks and whites. The chlorobromide emulsion has a high silver saturation and is available in grades 1-3, and either glossy or semi-matte surface. Heat dying is recommended with this paper.
Portriga speed RC is similar to Portriga Fibre Based comes in glossy or semi-matte and is available grades 2-3
Insignia Fine Art Paper is a double weight fibre based paper with warm blacks and neutral whites and a high silver saturation. The chlorobromide emulsion has an extensive tonal range and uniform grade to grade speed. It has a glossy surface and comes in grades 1-4, air drying not recommended.
 
 

FORTE
Bromofort is a double weight bluish-black toned fibre based paper with a pure white. It is available in glossy and semi-matte with grades from 1-5
Polygrade RC is an variable contrast paper of medium weight, it has neutral blacks on a pure white base. Available in Glossy or semi-matte. It is Compatible with Kodak and Ilford contrast control filters.
Polygrade FB is a fibre Based paper that reproduces a bluish-black image on a pure white base. It is a double weight paper available in Glossy or semi-matte and is Compatible with Kodak and Ilford contrast control filters.
Fortespeed Graded RC is a resin coated paper medium weight graded paper that provides a neutral black on a white base. Available in Glossy and Matte surfaces and grades 1-3
Fortezo warm toned graded Fibre is a warm toned paper on a pure white double weight base and cones in semi –matte or glossy available in grades from 1-4
Fortezo Museum weight identical to but above but the paper weight is 300gm.

Ilford
Multicontrast Rapid variable contrast RC is a paper with rich blacks, bright whites developer incorporated and an extended tonal rage it achieves 12 contrast grades and is available in glossy, matte and pearl surfaces.
Multigrade delux variable contrast RC is a paper with brilliant white and deep rich blacks. It has a wide tonal range, is non developer incorporated, achieves 12 contrast grades and is available in Glossy and Pearl surfaces.
 

Multigrade Fibre variable contrast is an exhibition quality paper that achieves 12 contrast grades and is available in glossy, matte or stipple
Ilfospeed RC graded delux has a bright white base with neutral blacks and is available in grades 1-5 and comes in semi-matte, Glossy and Pearl surfaces. 
Gallerie FB is a highest quality exhibition appear with archival permanence and high silver contrast. It has a fast exposure is available in grades 1-5 and glossy or matte surface.This paper reacts only slightly when toned in selenium with a blue tone.

Kodak

P-MAX Art is a fibre based double weight paper with a toothed surface which is excellent for hand colouring 
P-MAX RC is a resin coated paper with a toothed 
Panalure select is a RC paper with projected speed. Developer incorporated for high quality B&W prints from colour negs. Available in 3 contrast grade and F- glossy surface

Polycontrast is a RC multi-contrast paper with an extended selective contrast range grades 0-5has a . It works best a fast speed developer incorporated for rapid Processing. Available in F-Glossy, N-Matte 
Kodabrome is a RC paper Fast speed incorporated developer Available in F-Glossy, N-Matte, and E-Lustre and grades 1-5

Polyfibre is a Fibre based selective contrast paper with neutral tones, and medium speed. Available in G-Lustre on cream white paper stock
Elite is a Fibre based silver rich fine art paper, with premium weight. It has neutral black tone and high lustre surface, available in grades 1-4

Luminos

Metalics A RC paper that comes in Gold or Silver surfaces

Pastels A RC paper coated black image with a coloured background or as a Positive coloured image on Black Background. Available in Antique Ivory, Red, Light Blue, Yellow and Grey

Classics A fibre based paper textured warm paper. It is a rich Chlorobromide Emulsion with normal contrast R-surface is like Water colour paper, X- surface looks like canvas, while pearl and glossy are on a white base.
 
 

Oriental
Graded DW is a cold toned, Fibre based exhibition quality. It has brilliant whites, intense deep blacks and excellent tonal reproduction. Available in Glossy, grades 1-5
Variable contrast FB is a selective contrast, cold toned fibre based paper with a full contrast range. Available in glossy and semi-matte.
RCGraded is a silver rich paper with clean whites and high printing speeds, available in Glossy and semi-matte. Grades 1-3
RC Variable contrast is a silver rich paper with clean whites and high printing speeds, available in Glossy and semi-matte.
Panchromatic is a RC B&W paper for prints from colour negatives, it has neutral brightness, excellent tonal reproduction and has a glossy surface.
