UNDONE TASKS

i hate tasks undone for they are
the loose strings of my life
the sensation of incompleteness gnaws
at my core until i develop enough initiative
to set my mind to the work at-hand

static inertia
and getting things moving is the hardest part/
i'd rather sit here reading nietzsche, absorbing
his words like a sponge:
he's that magnetic
it's as if he's talking to me and me alone

yet the undone task keeps plaguing my mind
the unseen nemesis that it is
where is that point of decision and transition
when i will decide to shift from this 19th century
philosopher
to the realities of the present day?

it will come sooner or later
that much i know

motivation
why is that so hard to do right now?
i can't put the impulse to finish the task
on hold forever

this chair is a magnet of great power
that takes sheer force and determination
to break away from

now move...
