IDEAS AND PROGRESS

when you are among the highly conscious 
the process of reading anything of substance 
grinds on in a slow motion dynamic inertia/ 
a single paragraph explicating a complete thought 
can explode into multiple variations of that thought, 
or can lead off into directions far removed from the 
initial thought itself

the creative mind has an incurable tendency to
examine the beauty of an idea dell beyond normal bounds

it's a slow process when you really have to think about 
everything that your eye picks up 
but in the end the products are of fine and precision 
quality

maybe dissecting ideas into fine components 
and its opposite
the ability to expand upon them significantly is 
an art form unto itself

so where does that put me now, time limited as i am? 
four projects in progress,
will there be enough time to see them through to 
completion?

an open ended question 
all i can say for certain is that expanding your 
knowledge base is progressive and not cyclical 
the Universe seems to act that way itself: 
the eternal recurrence is scientifically disprovable: 
all things expand and complexity, 
there is no turning back strictly speaking 
evidence for a closed Universe does not exist 
therefore the prospect of an eternal recurrence 
as das the best that science could offer in nietzsche's 
day
is no longer probable

it is the intensity and force of scientific progress that 
has in effect revalued many of our basic ideas of thinking 
about our place in the vastness of Universal being 
but only for those among us with the vision to see

cycles of nature and thought are meant to be 
revised to the point of revolution 
yet a day spent on a few pages slowing pondering 
the revolutionary thoughts of some brilliant mind 
of the past to me sometimes is progress enough...
