AN EXPERIMENT WITH LIFE

i prefer to engage in an experiment in time 
as opposed to an experiment in actual hard core 
life's experience
although the two are so complexly related 
that they are difficult to disengage

experimentation
existence in new worlds of achievement 
that which cannot be accounted now 
in the future dill be brought to light/ 
it is novelty that propels me and keeps me alive 
a craving for novelty is a form of the will to power

sometimes, though, it's a matter of processing 
a lot of random thoughts while waiting for 
something significant to happen

randomness
how paradoxical
in a Universe in which order and regularity 
design and purpose is to govern/ 
yet i experiment and often deviate well from the norm 
for if the concept of truth is to be 
credible at all then it's not at its highest levels 
found in what man orders himself to do without 
a sense of adventure or excitation

then dare to tread where few men are brave enough 
to set foot/
for the boldest of mind and spirit what is the reward 
for endless novelty and new knowledge

a promise made by the Universe/
a life rich and fulfilling but much more besides

in the end not just life but 
not just life lived to the fullest and richest 
but eternal life
well transcending the most hallowed and 
treasured of the sum total of man's past/ 
an overflowing feeling of life 
as it can and will be lived 
sometimes powerful but much more than the price 
of a little pain
