The features that will be needed in the disabled person's home will be basic things, such as acess ramps instead of stairs. Also their home will be a ranch home, with minimal vertical movement. Cabinets will have to be installed lower to the floor than normal for maximum conveience. The doors in the house will also have to be wider to allow the wheelchair easy access to the rooms. And, the shower will have to be modified so that there is a seat there. For the couple with the young child, minimal changes will have to be made. Carpet is a must so the tot doesn't crack his head on a stone floor. Stairs will have to be made less steep for the young kid. Also electrical outlets will have to be covered up to prevent "accidents." For the elderly couple stairs will once again be an issue so it will be a smooth combination of the previous two. Past that the elderly couple don't really need anything special in their house.

Some special features we would include for the disabled person would be: a bay window, a patio, a greenhouse, a skylight, and a remote controlled thermostat. For the young couple we would add: a playroom, soundproof walls, triple layer shag carpet, walk in fridge, and booze locker. For the elderly couple, we would install: One of those maneuverable beds, walk in closets, handrails everywhere, old people smell, and ash trays. I think these would add a little character to the houses.

For the Arizona man's home, a number of materials will be needed. The 2" x 6" frame walls will be made of scrap plywood, for it's extreme low-cost poperties and it's acceptable durability. The sheathing material would be made of Rmax R-Matte Plus 3 sheathing material, the industry's standard, made the same way since 1978 by Rmax, the leader in the sheathing insulation industry! The insulation itself would be made of fiberglass, an insulation classic. The exterior finish would be made of bricks, for their brick-like properties.
These materials will save him money in the long run because of the materials' insulative properties. They keep the cool, air-conditioned air inside the house, and the hot, unintellingent Arizona air outside the house. This will save mucho dinero on heating bills.
