The Reverend James E. Pitts is the pastor of the historic Pea River Presbyterian Church in Southeast Alabama. James was ordained by the Presbyterian Church in America in 1981 after earning his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Divinity degrees. His doctoral studies have been in the field of expository preaching. You may listen to sermons.

James attended the public schools of Norcross, GA from childhood through high school where he earned membership in the Beta Club and National Honor Society. He was named "Most Valuable Football Player" at Norcross High School and Gwinnett County "Lineman of the Year" after the 1970 season.

 

 

 

 

James married the former Nora Dolberry in 1979. They are the proud parents of two married daughters and four grandchildren.

 

Sarah and Adam live in East Tennessee; he is a computer professional while she is an avid home school mom. They are the parents of James and Noah (making his Papa proud by wearing his Georgia Bulldog hat.)

Brad and Rebekah live in South Florida. They are the parents of Faith and Amity. Brad is a chef at one of Ft. Lauderdale's finest restaurants; Rebekah is a homemaker.
