The James Besaw modified Atkins Diet

I started this diet as the last resort after trying many different quick fix pills, and different diets. These methods were a short term fix for me. But the weight just came back.

At this point in time I decided it was time to take some drastic steps to lose weight and hopefully keep it off for good. I had to try this Atkins diet out. But, One problem, I dont eat red meat or poultry of any type. But I do eat lots of vegtables, cheese (live animal by-product) and fish. So I set up some guidlines for myself and started the diet.

My self guidlines are simple;
  • Follow the carb counting and food suggestions of the Atkins diet, staying between 20 to 30 net carbs. (carbs grams minus fiber grams and sugar alcohol grams.) per serving.
  • Only use butter or olive oil to cook with.
  • Drink all the diet soda I want. (0 carbs)
  • 1 to 2 coffees a day.
  • And to satify any cravings, I snack on nuts or especialy sunflower seeds that keep me busy cracking the shells and eating the meat inside.
  • And Powerbar Carb select protien plus or sugar free protien plus. (2 net carbs!)
