I started this diet as the last resort after trying many different quick fix pills, and different diets. These methods were a short term fix for me. But the weight just came back.
At this point in time I decided it was time to take some drastic steps to lose weight and hopefully keep it off for good. I had to try this Atkins diet out. But, One problem, I dont eat red meat or poultry of any type. But I do eat lots of vegtables, cheese (live animal by-product) and fish. So I set up some guidlines for myself and started the diet.
My self guidlines are simple;
Follow the carb counting and food suggestions of the Atkins diet, staying between 20 to 30 net carbs. (carbs grams minus fiber grams and sugar alcohol grams.) per serving.
Only use butter or olive oil to cook with.
Drink all the diet soda I want. (0 carbs)
1 to 2 coffees a day.
And to satify any cravings, I snack on nuts or especialy sunflower seeds that keep me busy cracking the shells and eating the meat inside.
And Powerbar Carb select protien plus or sugar free protien plus. (2 net carbs!)
