Responsibilities Include: 

·         Network Monitoring, and trouble-shooting.

·         Creation, Troubleshooting, and Maintenance of Management Reports using Proprietary software. (paradox 8.0 offshoot)

·         SQL 7.0 Database, Data Troubleshooting, upkeep, and maintenance.  T-SQL script writing for specific database queries, inserts, updates, and deletes.

·         Implemented a Division wide training program using Mindleaders.com

·         Established a reliable backup strategy until corporate could take over responsibility

·         Created Access database’s for the tracking of daily work, issues and management reports.  This database is also used to assist the team members to find an appropriate report in a short time.

July 1999 to October 1999: Caspian Software. Columbus, Oh.  Network Technician.

Contract: FCCS

Performed Network administration and Software installation to over 700 users.

Upgraded and installed software on each Windows 95 machine in the agency.  This software included Internet Explorer 4, Delphi required packages, explorer plug-in’s, and AS400 connections.  I increased my productivity by writing semi-automated install scripts.  The Agency has NT 4 servers, OS2 servers, 1 AS400, and imaging servers.  The network topology is 16 MEG token ring using Ethernet, Fiber optic and T1 direct line, connected by Cisco routers. 

 

Dec 1998 to June 1999: Parman Associates. Columbus, Oh.  Network Operations

Specialist.

Network Administrator and hardware/software Technician. 

Responsibilities included the Day to day maintenance of 60 workstations and 8 Servers for 5 offices. 

Handled SQL crashes, server lockup, Exchange user administration, installation of server software and troubleshooting application failures.  The office workstations included Windows 95/98, Microsoft office, third party scan and fax software, and other various third party applications that dealt with the health care industry.  Installed and setup network backup software and hardware for NT4.0 and Novell. 

Performed Novell user administration and migration of Novell to NT4.0 to including the moving of network printers from IPX to TCP/IP.  Setup and Installation of 3 NT servers that would be Primary and Backup Domain controllers.  Assisted the Recovery of SQL Server from proper backup with no loss of data. 

Developed a detailed plan for Y2K compliance on all hardware and software.

 

July 1994 to Dec 1998: Motorola Inc, Libertyville, IL. [Cellular Technician][Web

Team leader of 3 new prototype phones and assistant to 3 others.  Was one of

three factory, digital Memory chip, logic experts in the European factory.  Was

often required to train new technicians and write supporting training manuals.

Was sent to China in order to train their technicians to enhance their logic

Troubleshooting skills.

Cellular Team Leader in European/China factory.

1.       Managed 5 to 7 Technicians in the development of new cellular technologies for Europe and China.

2.       Filed daily Logs and progress reports for development engineers and Technical supervisors.

3.       Invented 7 different interface devices to be used by factory and development personnel for the troubleshooting of cellular phones.

4.       Developed a cost efficient, on board memory troubleshooting technique that became a production standard and online testing process.

 

Designed and coded 2 Motorola websites on the Motorola Intranet. 

1.       Used Homesite 3.0, Coldfusion, FrontPage 98, Java, and a text editor to created two Intranet sites for the Advanced Mechanical Testing sector in Motorola.  These sites were compatible for all browsers and operating systems alike.

2.       Updated and set-up one web server with Windows NT4.0 on the Motorola Intranet.  After setting up the AMT website updated a previously created site.

3.       Set up and reconfigured the server for a new physical location in the building.

4.       Used an older version of Homesite and Office's Built in HTML converters for most of the documents.
