~ Golden Globes 2002 ~
JAMES FRANCO WINS GOLDEN GLOBE for his work in TNT's James Dean.  The Globes aired on January 20th, 2002.  He won for the category "Actor in a Leading Role--Mini-Series or Television Movie". Not that I doubted Franco's wonderful performance as our Jimmy, but I was very scared as his opponets were introduced; Kenneth Branagh in "Conspiracy", Ben Kingsley in "Anne Frank", Damien Lewis in "Band of Brothers", and Barry Pepper in "61*."   As the envolope opened, "And the winner is...James Franco."  I jumped off of my couch and screamed, very loudly, of joy!  heh heh.  Franco, to all James Dean's fans delight, included Jimmy into his acceptance speech.  Franco said,"...and to James Dean, who influenced so much of what I do, and I'm sure a lot of others, too."  How exciting!  =D

As I look over the winners of The Globes 2002 show, I see that Robert Altman, the man responsible for The James Dean Story, also won a Globe for his movie, Gosford Park.  =)
