Park Specialties is a class A general contractor. We install park and playground equipment throughout the western states. We also install the pour-n-place rubber safety surface in play areas and water parks.
Robert DeRieux has owned and operated Park Specialties for 15 years. He has an additional 10 years experience working in general construction. Key employes have been with Robert since the company's inception. We currently employ 20 ~ 25 full-time laborers and 2 office support people.
My work with Park Specialties began August 2006 and ended June 2008. I worked mainly in the office as an estimator. I did research on advertised work and worked with clients to develop installation proposals. Occasionally I would attend a job walk - as required. I also scheduled crews and materials. We bid as many as 20 jobs per week and operate 4 or 5 crews.
I enjoyed the work and the satisfactions of working the with clients and customers. I take pride in setting and maintaining trusted relationships. However, Robert and I were unable maintain a trusted - trusting relationship. The job was stressful and abusive.
