This
is the clock on the wall of the town hall. I think it's on the hour,
the clock chimes and characters appear out of the windows just below the
small overhang. Lots of people stop to see it. I didn't see
anyone being pickpocketed but this seems a perfect place for it as
everyone looks up on the hour.
This is where I spent most of New Year's
Eve.
The
Loreta is supposed to be a replica of the manager where Christ was
born. It's inside the building pictured here on the right. I
find the lower most statue here a bit odd. There is also a treasury
with lots of gold, silver and jewels and some holy relics.
From
Prague I went to Hungary. This church is in a town called Eger which
is noted for its wine called Bull's Blood. It's also reputed to be
the home of the valley of the beautiful women - but either the women
weren't home or their sense of beauty isn't mine.
