Busted had a fantastic trip to Japan earlier this week. The lads were completely overwhelmed at how many fans they had out there - it was brilliant. James and Charlie nearly died laughing when they looked over in the middle of a live Japanese tv performance only to see that Matt's trousers had fallen down! That's over 20 million viewers who caught Matt with his trousers down! Haha! Never mind Matt you gotta see the funny side.
30|06|03 - Matt's Secret Girlfriend
Matt Jay has been having a secret long-term relationship with an older girlfriend. Young Matt - he's the one with peroxide hair, not Charlie the sexy one with the eyebrows - has been dating Holly Davies on the hush-hush for the last six months. The news will devastate the army of teenage fans of the threesome - Matt, Charlie Simpson and James Bourne. Brunette Holly works for Busted's record label Universal Island as a TV plugger, which means she's in charge of all the boy's telly appearances. That's how Holly - who used to work for Pop Idols judge Nicki Chapman's old management company Brilliant - and Matt first got to know each other and the relationship developed. At first, the naughty pair kept it a secret from the record label and management. But eventually their cover was blown and the lovebirds had to come clean. The bosses weren't happy but decided to tolerate the relationship as long as the pair kept it to themselves. While the teen fans will be crying into their Smash Hits at the news, more mature ladies such as myself have cause for celebration. Pretty Holly, who is in her late-20s, is nearly a decade older than the youthful Matt, who is a mere 20-years-old. "It's lasted six months, so it's obviously serious," a friend of the band tells me. "She's been with them from the beginning, taking them to their various TV appearances and their romance developed from there. "The age difference doesn't seem to affect the relationship, as Matt is very mature for one so young. "When everyone found out, Holly was petrified she was in big trouble, but let's face it, nobody can stop them from going out together. "It's just for publicity purposes that the management and record label would prefer that all of Busted were single."
28|06|03 - In Germany
The Busted boys were jet setting again last week on their busy promotional schedule. The lads were in Germany for press and radio interviews and to film a live tv performance for VIVA which is the biggest German TV show � kinda like MTV in the UK. They performed Year 3000 and You Said No which is the current single over there. They also recorded for TOTP which is due to broadcast on German tv on 10th July (tbc). Next month a slightly longer flight takes Busted to Asia for a week of promotion in Japan.
