Queensland: 30min from HFX
Queensland is one of the best beaches for skimming, it
is small and has a very steep slant good for picking up tons of speed. it's
out by hubbards , queensland has really nice close waves that can be awesome
but can really suck,if you catch a really nice day there are some good tubes.
you manly find intermediate and advanced guys, here because of the slant but
some days at low tide it can be really flat. It's a crazy in the summer days
because of all the people you really have to watch for little kids. it is the
worst when it is saterday or sunday, especially at 12-2 it is better in the
late afternoons and night.
this is the best place to skim well i think it is.

Crystal Crescent: 30min From HFX
Crystal has really cold water but usually has the biggest waves, it is a nice place in general but use the first beach with the parking lot. the waves are very hard to get out to sometimes which makes it hard for begginers and intermideate guys, somedays rocks can appear out of nowhere which is really bad because you can really ding up your board. if you get board of skimming you can always take a wander over to the nude beach and see some very intresting things.
CLAM HARBOUR: 60min from HFX near um Owl's head...(for Beginers or anyone who likes super long flat rides)
Clam Harbor is a really nice place to learn, and if you go on the right day you might be able to see some awesome sand castle's Its a SUPER FLAT sandy beach.. the wash is really thin and really long. Great fun beach for the new guysor people who love to sandsurf.
LAWRENCE TOWN: Dartmouth
, 40 min from hfx
lawrence town is a surfer beach and boogie bording beach it is really rocky.
i mean really rocky but by the end of the beach there is a spot where there
is some sand. these waves are very var out and flat at low tide but at high
tide, i have seen some pretty wicked reachable waves there which are really
fast. i would recommend this beach to the experenced guys out there.

Hubbards: 40 min drive from halifax, this place is usually very popular with people and swimmers, it is really small and inclosed, it is awesome if you catch it hen the are huge see swells because the waves comeinto that baech with some serious force and the surrondings cause the waves to break really nice, this beach is only good in the fall when the sand is gone at Queens
Mini Queensland: 30 min from halifax
This beach is just before queensland, similar waves break here but there sometimes can be many rocks.
Summervill: about a 2 hour drive from halifax 20 mins from white point,
I found this beach when
i went down to white point to go surfing, it is a pretty good beach with some
nice waves and perfect curlers, dont go on my opinion because you can't judge
a beach on one day. if your down that way it would be worth it to check it out.
