Through the years of skimming and surfing there has been many wax companies that have developed. The main two are Sex Wax and Sticky bumps.

With Sex Wax there are various kinds and smells. But if you want a better stick on your board people prefer Sticky Bumps. The reason for Sticky Sump’s is because it is softer and sticks a lot better in colder conditions but it does not offer the same feeling that sex wax offers.

When rubbing on your wax it is the time for you and your board to bond. When rubbing your board with sex wax you will always remember the smell. On those days where the waves crap out or it is just to freaking cold to go you can always take a wiff of the wax and remember the awesome time you had skimming and surfing, I have never had any thing that could bring me back to skimming other than Sex Wax. Yes Sex Wax smells awesome but it does not give you the stick you need.

I find the best thing to do is mix them together when rubbing them onto your board, that way you will get your stick and the smell.
