The Jamaican flag consists of a gold cross on top of a black and green background. The gold cross represents the sunshine that blesses the island. The green stands for the rainfall that makes the island lush and verdant. The black is for the people and the African slaves that were forced over to the island, and centuries later winnig their freedom. The flag is incorporated into almost evrything Jamaican. THe flag is worn with srong pride.
