Jamaica's Constitution Document

The current constitution is not practical. Most Jamaican's don't have access to it, and of those who do, most don't understand what it is saying. In an effective constitution;

  1. The difference between what the document say and what the citizens of the country do practically should be closely related.
  2. The document should be as simple as possible and in the language that all citizens can read and understand.
  3. The constitution should administer to the needs of the people without undue hardship or requirements.
  4. Citizens, and the process of citizenship should be clearly stated. The rights of a citizen should also be clearly stated. Restrictions posed on non-citizens should also be clearly stated.
  5. All citizens should have access.
Jamaica's constitution begin with this phrase; Her Majesty, by virtue and in exercise of the powers in that behalf...

Did the people of Jamaica bestow this title upon the 'queen' and do we have the right to take back her powers that was bestowed?
