| History My interests in Indian hobby begun in my childhood Indian plays. I made my first (4m diameter) Tipi in 1980 and the one that I'm using now is my 5th Tipi that I have made to my family. 3 Tipi's I have made to few friends of mine. With the interests of The Indians, I have made clothes and weapons and other stuff, that belongs to the "living like" an Prairie Indian life. I went first in commercial camp in 1981. There I found some other people interested in same kind of hobby, and I made there some contacts to the people who started to keep a camps of their own, without any payment or "adult" guidance. Everyone were in a camp on his own food, shelter and transportation with hobbyfriends assistance. In the late 80's there were about 3 3to4 days camp and 1 1to2 week(s) camp in a year. But now with a bigger family and becoming older and lazy, it has been dropped to few nights camping in our own yard in a year. Only some year occasionally, we get to some other places to camp for few nights only (Rendezvous 2004). Mostly we use our tipi to barbeque or grill some sausages or chicken or meat or making pancakes in our family-evening or with our friends. It's a nice way to use a leisure-time. |
