About Mail
Anyone who has seen a Volunteer open a letter from home knows
how much support comes from their families and friends.  I have
to admit, not being able to talk or email you whenever I would like
makes me feel a little lonely even now.  I hope keeping in touch
with me during my two years of service will be as important to
you as it will be to me.  Though phone and email access are
becoming more common in countries served by the Peace Corps,
I won't know how much access I will have until I receive my
permanent address following the inital 12-week training period.
However, old fashioned cards, letters and packages are always a
great way to keep in touch.  It will be wonderful to hear what's
                                                    going on in you lives!

Letters
In this day of email, Instant Messanging and cell phones, it's hard
to even remember what the good 'ole paper and stamps looks like!
I know it's more time consumming to write a letter, but this is the

best way to communicate with me.  I promise to try to respond to
all letters!  If you do send letters or cards, please make sure to
                                                    write "Air Mail"
and "Par Avion" on the envelope.  Also keep in
mind that mail will take a minimum of 2-4 weeks to arrive in
                                                    Lusaka, the capital city.
