Welcome to the jal'cruces page. I am J.A.L. and what is Cruces? Las Cruces is the lovely Southwestern town in which I reside. The weather is great, the food spectacular, and the air is clean! (Well, except for during dust storm season:) ).

DOWNHILL BIKING - That's me to the left on my approach to "THE tree" (a "face plant" obstacle at the bottom of a hill and a narrow 90 degree turn). Apparently, the photographer thought this a good spot so you could see the rider's life passing before their eyes before they bit the big one! Fortunately, I decided that it would be much better for me to TURN at the tree and not plant another face on it's - already - large collage of blood. I retired from Downhill Mountain Bike racing in 2000 -Expert (Semi-Pro) level. Reasons being mostly economical, partly geographical and partly destructo-physical :).

Have also competed in Soccer, Tennis, Karate, Softball, and Basketball in my lifetime. I have tried just about every other sport but hangliding and curling...and... oh yeah.... shuffleboard....But I've seen that many retirement homes have shuffleboard "courts".. so,...who knows?

I also play Drums with Empyre Pipes and Drums bagpipe band (www.empyrepipesanddrums.com)out of El Paso, TX., and play a blues rock band, also out of El Paso. I also mess with the Guitar, Bass Guitar, Keyboard, and various other musical "things" that I am not very good at! :)

REALITY: Reality means that we must work to be able to play :) I work for the Federal Government and volunteer with the Dona Ana County Sheriff's Department. The rest of my post High School escapades can be found at Classmates.com

Besides bicycle items, music items and nick-nacks, I often sell Southwestern/Native American items. I can offer these items at lower prices than you may be able to find them -if you can find them - in other parts of the country because I purchase them wholesale. Also, I offer them at low prices because I have a "real" job and don't make my living on ebay. I just do this for fun. I have guarantees on everything that I sell.
