Tales of Whales

See the largest mammals of the Sea,
Read a Tale about a Whale or maybe just thier Tail,
Watch the whales as they Sail the oceans Blue,
Look for the plume from the air they Blew.
Listen and learn of the songs they sing with glee,
For the songs they sing are not for Sale to you and me.

A life size Orca sparks interest amongst the students as our unit begins.

      Student created journals are great for writing a whale of a tale.

Orca swims in a coral reef. A pod of oragomi whales surrounds the KWL chart.

                         
The ocean is full of intriguing animals.

There are a lot of things to learn about whales. Here are art projects, research papers, graphs, and KWL chart about whales. Students also learned about coral reefs and penguins. Oceans are busy places.
